A Table Tennis buddy of mine, commenting on the top players in the sport, said they are all Chinese. He went on to say that Timo Boll was great in his day.
This post is for him, and any other players who think Timo is washed up.
At the 2017 ITTF World Cup earlier this year Timo beat Lin Gaoyuan at the quarter-final stage when down 4-10 in the decider (5-11, 11-13, 11-9, 9-11, 11-9, 14-12, 13-11); one day later on the morning of Sunday 22nd October, he overcame Ma Long, the top seed and clear favorite for the title.
